How the Harvest Buy Feature Works

1ļø. Accessing the Harvest ScreenĀ 

  • Farmers or field officers navigate to the Harvest screen within the system.Ā 
  • A new option labelled “Sell” is available, provided there is a valid harvest quantity recorded.Ā 

2ļø. Selecting Sales DetailsĀ 

Upon clicking the “Sell” option, new fields appear:Ā 

  • Buyer Selection – The user selects a buyer from the available list.Ā 
  • Warehouse Selection – If multiple warehouses exist, the user is prompted to choose one; if only one exists, it is auto-selected.Ā 
  • Price Entry – The user inputs the price per unit of the harvested crop (only numeric values allowed).Ā 

3ļø. Submitting the TransactionĀ 

  • Once all fields (buyer, warehouse, and price) are entered, the user clicks “Submit”.Ā 
  • This action simultaneously creates both the harvest and sales transactions, ensuring they share the same transaction date.Ā 

4ļø. System Validations & ConfirmationsĀ 

The system validates all inputs before proceeding:Ā 

  • Ensures a buyer is selected before allowing submission.Ā 
  • Requires a valid warehouse selection when multiple options exist.Ā 
  • Price must be a numeric value to prevent incorrect data entry.Ā 
  • All required fields must be completed before submission.Ā 
  • A confirmation message alerts users that the transaction is final and cannot be reverted.Ā 

If any required fields are missing or invalid, the system provides clear error messages, guiding users to correct the input before proceeding.Ā
